BidBaazaar ("we", "us") runs a live-auction marketplace app and website where people bid on, buy and sell products through live streams, reels and auctions. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Delivery details: shipping addresses you save to receive orders.
• Marketplace activity: bids, orders, wallet balance and transactions, returns, reviews, wishlist, messages and support tickets.
• Seller details (sellers only): business and owner information, tax IDs, documents and bank account details used for payouts.
• Content you upload: product photos, reels and live-stream video or audio you choose to publish.
• Device and usage data: device type, app version, IP address, crash and diagnostic logs, and notification tokens, used to keep the service secure and working.

Permissions the app may ask for

• Camera and microphone: only when you go live or record a reel.
• Photos / files: to upload product images or a profile picture.
• Notifications: to alert you about outbids, auction results, orders and offers.
• Internet access: required for bidding and live streams.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

How we use your information

• To create your account, run auctions, place bids, process orders and deliver items.
• To operate the in-app wallet, process payments and pay sellers.
• To send order, bid and security notifications and to provide customer support.
• To prevent fraud, enforce our terms and keep the platform safe.
• To improve the app and fix problems.

Sharing

• Sellers see the buyer's name, phone number and delivery address for orders they must ship. Buyers see a seller's shop name and listings.
• Your username and bids may be visible to other participants in an auction or live stream.
• We share data with service providers that help us operate the service (hosting, payments, delivery, notifications) and when required by law.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes (for example order and payment records), which are retained for the legally required period.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login details private.

Your choices and rights

• View and update your profile and addresses in the app.
• Request a copy, correction or deletion of your data by emailing hello@bidbaazaar.app.
• Delete your account and data: see Delete Account.

Children

BidBaazaar is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
